Jordan Mickey Pledges To LSU

Jordan Mickey committed to LSU after a home visit earlier this week from Tigers coach Johnny Jones.

"My relationship with Coach Jones is very good and that was important to me," Mickey said. "I've gotten very familiar with LSU and I love the atmosphere of the football games.

"Having a chance to play right away was a big factor for me. I wanted to be able to help a program as soon as I could."

Mickey, a 6-foot-8, 223-pound forward, chose the Tigers over offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma State and SMU.

The 6-foot-9 Lyles, who is generally considered one of the nation’s 10 best prospects, is also considering Duke, North Carolina, Butler, Michigan State and UCLA.

Marcus Lee To Pick Between Cal, Kentucky

Marcus Lee will choose between Cal and Kentucky.

“It changes every few days,” Brian Lee, Marcus’ brother, said. “It’s a tougher decision than most think. He likes both situations.”

Lee, a top-30 player in the 2013 class, hosted Cal and Kentucky in separate visits earlier this week.

Lee will visit Kentucky on Oct. 12 for Big Blue Madness.

The 6-foot-6 Young, considered a top-10 prospect in the class of 2013, has trimmed his list to Kentucky, Michigan State, Arizona, Kansas and Syracuse.

Kentucky Offers Scholarship To Rashad Vaughn

Kentucky has issued an offer to Rashad Vaughn, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Robbinsdale Cooper High School in Minneapolis.

Vaughn, a top-15 recruit in the class of 2014, met with John Calipari on Friday.

Vaughn also has offers from Wisconsin, Syracuse, Louisville, Kansas and Minnesota.

Louisville Receives Pledge From Akoy Agau

Louisville picked up a commitment from Akoy Agau, a 6-foot-9 forward out of Omaha Central (Neb.) High School.

Agau had an in-home visit with Rick Pitino on Wednesday night.

“I just had that feeling,” Agau said. “I didn’t think I’d make a decision, but I knew it’s the school I was going to. So why not make that decision? It’s the right decision.”

Agau returned from an official visit to Louisville on Sunday.

“I checked out everything and I liked the facilities, loved the coaching staff, loved hanging out with the team and with the fans,” said the two-time All-Nebraska selection. “When I was on campus, I had the feeling it was the place for me.”

The 6-foot-9 Rimmer has drawn interest from Stanford, Vanderbilt and Miami.

Tennessee Lands Robert Hubbs

Robert Hubbs verbally committed to Tennessee on Monday, his father confirmed.

Hubbs took an official visit to Tennessee this past weekend.

"It was the little things (Cuonzo Martin) did," Hubbs’ father, Robert Hubbs II said. "He sent my wife and my mother a handwritten Mother's Day card. The little things you do catch the eyes of a lot of people and it really caught my son's eyes."

Hubbs chose the Volunteers over Duke, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Auburn.

"I asked him, 'What about Kentucky? You haven't visited yet,'" Hubbs Sr. said. "He said, 'Dad, I love Tennessee.'"
